A Reflection: CES

Racepoint Global

CES is a global consumer electronics and consumer technology trade show taking place every January in Las Vegas. As part of the client servicing team of one of our global consumer technology clients,  we had the chance to gain exposure at this well-known technology trade show and supported our client in launching their flagship products in January 2016.

As one of the most influential events on the planet, CES 2016 attracted thousands of companies ranging from tech giants such to one-person start-ups, offering magnificent opportunities to all participants.

Exhibitors demonstrate new products at the trade show, while deals will be closed behind-the-scenes to make further generations of gadgets a reality. Whilst larger companies leverage CES as a launch platform for new hardware and services, smaller businesses see CES as a big opportunity to catch the eye of journalists and buyers from retailers.

Visitors including tech geeks and journalists expressed their enthusiasm towards technology innovation through experiencing debut of the new and cool technology at the show floor. “Smartening” of devices continue to fuel the exhibition hall up, such as smart phones, smart car, smart camera, smart thermostats, smart wearable fitness devices and smart refrigerators.

PR professionals are another group of people present in the tradeshow. After months of strategy planning and preparation, it was the time when we executed the well-planned campaign, met with media or potential customers, handled booth side inquiries for clients. Despite the crazy work onsite, it was undoubtedly a brilliant opportunity to widen our horizon learning the new technology offerings at booths on the show floor.
