My meaningful experience as an intern at Racepoint Global

My PR internship at Racepoint Global has definitely been one of the highlights of my year.

The first week was the most daunting, as I quickly had to learn all about the agency and the clients that I would be working on, such as Outplay and Progress Software. Needless to say, my team members were supportive and provided me with a lot of guidance throughout all my tasks and duties which helped put me at ease. For this reason, I suddenly felt my clueless demeanor fade as I soon realised that I was actually becoming part of the team.

One of the highlights over the past few months was working on the Glass Room launch with our client Mozilla Firefox. It was a fast-paced event which I was thrown into from the beginning. The event taught me how to adapt in a professional environment while having to work together as a team to ensure we hit the client’s deadlines. While it was intimidating at first, I quickly gained first-hand, the amount of media relations that goes into a fast-paced tech PR event.

Apart from the valuable experience and knowledge that I have gained from my team members and client managers over the last three months, I have been touched by the friendly environment of the agency and how welcoming everyone has been towards me from the start.

Racepoint Global has an amazing culture and positive attitude towards its employees and clients. It has been a pleasure to have worked with such intelligent and unique people who have taught me both professional and life skills that I will take with me as I continue to pursue my career in PR.
