Bish Bash BOSCH……cooking up a storm in smart living

BOSCH seems to be leading the smart living field today, announcing a whole range of new smart kitchen appliances, from ovens that basically do the cooking for you over a “projection and interaction” touchscreen countertop, to their “PerfectAIR” sensor.

Doctor Google will see you now

Some highlights from this year’s IFA 2018 include Google flexing its muscles in the fitness and health wearables market.  Google’s Wear OS updates hints at a wave of fitness smartwatches to come with a stronger heart rate and health focus. Additionally, VirZOOM has also announced the availability of its virtual reality fitness system, VZFit. The system brings players into a virtual reality world allowing them to explore both real and fantastical programmes. These range from cycling regimes to virtual reality tank battles with other competitors.  LG is also showing off its new wearable robot designed to aid those with mobility issues. The CLOi SuitBot attaches to the wearer’s legs and allows them to operate in both seated and standing positions.

Rock n Roll… literally

One of the latest products launched at this year’s IFA 2018 is Bang & Olufsen’s Beosound Edge Speaker. Bang & Olufsen is renowned for its luxury hi-tech speakers and its latest addition is no exception. With an integrated gyroscope and accelerometer inside, users can adjust the volume by rocking it back and forth, with the speaker using springs to help find its way back to the centre.

One throne to rule them all?

Acer’s latest offering that has gaming fans drooling is the Predator Thronos gaming chair, which is as good as the name suggests. Its three screens will take RPGs to another level, whilst the motorised reclining chair simulates a 4D experience from the comfort of your home.
