On May 14, 2013 Racepoint Group announced the hire of Bobby Zafarnia as vice president in the agency’s Corporate and Public Affairs practice.
Working out of the agency’s Washington D.C. office, Zafarnia brings over a decade of experience in public relations, issues and stakeholder management, and international communications to the front lines of social media, branding, crisis management and media consulting. He is a seasoned communications specialist who has advised a wide range of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, Members of Congress, heads of state and nonprofits. He is also a government relations expert and a licensed attorney.
Prior to joining Racepoint Group, Bobby launched and successfully ran Praecere Interactive, a boutique media relations consultancy that served clients across multiple industries. Bobby has also worked for the Issues & Crisis Group at Burson-Marsteller, where he counseled numerous companies and international clients in crisis PR, thought leadership, corporate and finance, political elections, and advised on widely known brand products/services. Prior to Burson, Bobby was Director of the International Practice at Levick Strategic Communications, where he advised the Government of Dubai and diaspora groups on media relations, branding, and crisis management.
In his role at Racepoint Group, Bobby will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, strategic counsel and tactical implementation of client deliverables to corporate and international clients, leading new business and organic growth and development of high-performing account teams.

Bobby holds a law degree from George Mason University, a Master’s degree from George Washington University, and his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University. He lives in Washington DC, is an avid traveler having visited dozens of countries, and enjoys live music and honing his guitar skills in his free time.
