SAN FRANCISCO, October 14, 2014 – Racepoint Global, an integrated marketing communications agency at the intersection of influence and action today announced the appointment of David Fonkalsrud as executive vice president and West Coast lead.
An expert in business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing, Fonkalsrud will lead Racepoint’s West Coast operations headquartered in San Francisco. He will oversee the team managing some of the agency’s strategic client relationships, including Samsung, ARM Holdings and Shoo the Flu. Fonkalsrud will also be central to expanding Racepoint’s presence in the Western U.S. and broadening the reach of Racepoint’s integrated offer which combines paid, earned and owned media with a full suite of creative capabilities.

Prior to Racepoint Global, Fonkalsrud was a partner at K/F Communications, Inc., a technology-focused public relations and communications agency he co-founded in 2001, and helped grow into one of the top 20 independent agencies in Northern California. He has also served as the top U.S. communications executive for DHL Worldwide Express, and as a staff member of the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations in Washington, D.C.
